Introducing Our 2024 Graduate Recruits
Meet digiLab’s newest cohort of Graduate Recruits
Rebecca Fairchild | R&D Graduate
Rebecca joins us with an MEng in Engineering Design from the University of Bristol, where she specialised in Mechanical Engineering. Her final design project involved implementing sensor systems and data processing techniques for a knee implant testing rig - talk about innovation! During her industry year at Swytch, a London-based startup, Rebecca worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern developing electric bike conversion kits, where she gained hands-on experience with vibration testing, drop testing, and user testing. This showcases her ability to combine technical skills with transformative thinking- exactly the level of talent she is bringing to the digiTeam. When she's not applying her skills to complex challenges, you'll find her hiking, cycling, or painting.
James Price | Business Development Graduate
James, our summer intern from the 2023 cohort, is re-joining us after finishing his degree in Economics at the University of Exeter. This summer, he dived into AI-driven economic research where he built an LLM as part of a research project on the House of Commons Hansard Debates. He also utilised AI to model which hedge fund characteristics best predict alpha. We cannot wait to see James in his element at digiHQ - combining his innovative experience, dynamic skills and analytical thinking. His skills can be seen outside the office as well as a keen sportsman always on the go- whether exercising in the gym, playing football or swimming lengths.
Tasmiya Chowdhury | Marketing Graduate
Tasmiya joins us with a degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Manchester. She brings with her a strong background in marketing, communications and social media content creation. With previous experience as the Director of Communications and Marketing at a student-led policy think tank, she is bringing a strong foundation in story-telling skills, strategic thinking and a passion for making complex ideas engaging through content. When she is not busy running her creative flow, she can be found diving into a good book, discovering cosy cafes and exploring the city on long walks.
With their diverse skillset, talent and drive, we're thrilled to welcome Rebecca, James and Tasmiya to our digiTeam. We can't wait to see all that they will achieve!
